Happy Pack Rat Day!

Standard

Mental Floss tweeted that today is National Pack Rat Day. To celebrate, here are some projects to help you clean out your stash πŸ™‚

Fabric Scraps:

Coasters

Necklace

Quilt

Misc:

Floss-Bobbin MagnetsΒ (great for old thread)

Cassette Tape Business Card Holder

What do you do to use of scraps (paper, fabric, anything)? Do you have trouble throwing things away? I think a lot of crafters/artsy people do (including me!).

World Wednesday: Mother’s Day

Standard

Here’s an article from Wikipedia about the history of Mother’s Day and it’s celebration(s) around the world. I’m not sure how accurate it is (most sources should be researched anyway πŸ™‚ ) but its’s still pretty interesting.

World Wednesday: Hanging a Map

Standard

For this World Wednesday, I’m linking toΒ this post from Smile and Wave which gives you instructions on a way to hang a map (other than thumbtacks or a big frame πŸ™‚ ).

You could use small stickers to mark places on the map…like where you’ve been, where you know people, missionaries you support, etc.

Do you have maps hanging in your house? How are they displayed?
